The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Overview

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a data protection and privacy law for individuals in the European Union. The GDPR was adopted in April 2016, and became enforceable on May 25, 2018. The GDPR gives individuals greater control over how their personal data is collected and processed.

Our commitment to GDPR compliance

The Intervals team has always made it our priority to protect our customer's data. Not because it's a box we need to check off, but because we put our customers, and their data, first. It has always been our mantra that that "your data is your data," we simply provide the platform for processing said data.

How we prepared for GDPR compliance

While our software was mostly GDPR compliant already, we made changes to ensure that your data is protected:

  • Verified all third-party vendors are GDPR compliant, and/or restricted their access to personal data.
  • Trained support team on responding to data requests.
  • Revised our terms of service to explain exactly what data we collect and how we use it.
  • Revised our data collection methods to ensure that consent is clearly given.

Analytics

We may use third-party service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our service.

  • Google Analytics

    Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

    You can opt-out of having made your activity on the service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.
