As far as I can see, when the API is returning text that contains international characters (such as René), it does this by returning the HTML formatteded version - René - which is then formatted for XML, so the raw text sent over HTTP is René
Using UTF-8 - as the header suggests - the encoding for é should be made using UTF-8.
Is this something that will be fixed, or do I need to manually HTML-decode all returned values?

Hello. For now I would recommend HTML decoding returned values.
