The Best and the Worst Jobs

John Reeve | January 8th, 2009 |

The Wall Street Journal reviews a study completed by careercast.com on the best and worst jobs in the article Doing the Math to Find the Good Jobs. The article lists the best and worst jobs of 200 jobs that were studied, based on the following criteria:

The findings were compiled by Les Krantz, author of “Jobs Rated Almanac,” and are based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Census Bureau, as well as studies from trade associations and Mr. Krantz’s own expertise.

It’s no surprise to see represented in the list of best jobs several of the industries applicable to Intervals customers. Here are some of the best jobs:
5. Software Engineer
6. Computer Systems Analyst
9. Industrial Designer
10. Accountant
16. Medical Laboratory Technician
17. Paralegal Assistant
18. Computer Programmer
19. Motion Picture Editor

Curious about the worst job?
200. Lumberjack
