As members of One Percent for the Planet we have the privilege of donating 1% of our sales to environmental causes. Our contribution is a small way for us to validate our commitment to lessening our impact on our surroundings. What makes this nonprofit endeavor even more relevant is they gave us a list of organizations to choose from. We get to decide where our money is going.
After much research and deliberation we settled on the Eastern Sierra Land Trust. Why? Because as different as we three Pelago partners are, we all have ties to the Eastern Sierra. There have been countless Vanagon trips up the 395 where we’ve explored canyons, fished gorges, hiked trails, swam in alpine lakes and napped in the high grassy meadows. The Eastern Sierra is a unique place that we’d like to help preserve.
