We built Intervals for two reasons. First, we need a web-based project management service to track time and tasks, as well as overall workflow. And second, we tried a few of the web-based services and, at the time, found them lacking.
The feedback from our clients was so overwhelming, we had to turn Intervals into a service other small businesses could use. Years of experience went into building Intervals, surely others could benefit from that.
That is when we started using Intervals to manage Intervals. The logic seems dizzy, but it works. Our development team is assigned tasks, prioritized by release date and significance. Our product manager runs reports each week to gauge efforts and tune launch schedules. And we generate financial reports and invoices to quantify how much effort is going into Intervals.
Using Intervals to manage itself added product management expertise — in addition professional services expertise — as a cornerstone. We’ve become pros at managing and tracking our time on every creative component, meeting, and line of code that goes into Intervals.
When you sign up to use Intervals for your small business, you are getting years of experience — task and time tracking, invoicing, reporting — in one web-based and lightweight project management service.
