Introducing the New Task Calendar

John Reeve | July 13th, 2016 | , ,

We’re excited to introduce our newest feature, a spanning view of the task calendar. We based this new look on feedback from customers asking for a more visual representation of their current task schedule.

Sneak Peek at the New Task Calendar

This new feature provides an easy-to-use visual schedule of tasks that lets users know, at a glance, when tasks start and end, and which tasks they should be working on presently.

Tasks can be rescheduled simply by dragging and dropping them onto a different day on the calendar. This new view of our task calendar software maintains the original functionality — users can still filter the tasks being displayed using the options in the right column and update task details by right-clicking on them.

To enable this feature, check the box labeled “Tasks” in the right column. For more information on this feature, please read the help article for tasks spanning on the home page calendar.

This improvement is just one of many we have planned for our online task management software. Let us know what you think of our new task calendar for project management.

    Hi,

would it be possible to set three different deadlines in one task? and generate reports on the different deadlines?

  2. John Reeve says:

    Sascha,

Thank you for the ideas. While it’s not possible to have three different deadlines at this time, it is an idea we’ll consider. Thank you for sharing :)

  3. George says:

Will you be able to sync your task calendar with other calendars? And will there be notifications?

    Thanks

  4. John Reeve says:

    George,

The calendar can be synced with any calendar software that supports the iCal format, such as Outlook and Google Calendar. Here is some more information on how to use this feature:

If tasks are moved around on the calendar then a notification will be sent to the owners, assignees, and followers on the task to let them know the due date was changed.
