Free Web Design Icons

John Reeve | March 19th, 2009 | ,

Over the last nine years of doing web design & development at Pelago I’ve developed an icon file that I use for things like edit buttons, delete buttons, etc. They are tiny icons designed to match the height of smaller type. Here they are below. Please feel free to download this file and use these icons for whatever you would like.

    Hello John,

These are great icons, I’d love to upload them to http://iconfu.com – it’s a big library of creative-commons icons with an online editor so people can also modify any icon from the collection. The icons will of course be fully attributed to you with links back to this page. I think this is ok by the license you have used but I’d like to check with you anyway

    cheers –

Hey guys. just took a look at the icons at the top of this site, and i have to say they look a little dated by todays standards, have you heard of web 2.0? check out istocks icons and apples icons, then you will see something special

  4. John Reeve says:

Considering most of them were create five or six years ago, yeah, i’d say they are outdated. But I would also disagree that the web 2.0 is today’s standard. The web 2.0 look is getting a little tired don’t you think? Too many gradients, reflections, shiny surfaces. Seems like every web 2.0 icon has a wavy line through it. If you want to show me something special, show me what’s next.
