You may have recently noticed that email notifications detailing task summary updates look different. Here’s why.
Historically, when an Intervals task was updated the old summary was recorded on the task and emailed, along with the revised summary, to the task’s owners, assignees, and followers. Because it did not specify what in the summary had changed, the emails with longer task summaries would often times go unread.
To address this readability issue, we have recently released easier to read task summary revisions. The task history and email notifications will now detail exactly what changed in the task summary, using standard revision notation, making them much easier to skim and understand.
This change is also recorded in the action history for the task. The action history provides a useful audit trail for tasks if you need to analyze how the task evolved. More information about task action histories is available on our help site.
